Do I have to pay a big deposit up front?

We provide free estimates and we rarely take a deposit upfront… The balance isn't due until the job is done and we've walked your home together for the Moulaison Sign-Off. That way, you’re never paying for work you haven't seen.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We're fully licensed and insured in Lee County PT-000588 , and I'm happy to send proof before we start. We never subcontract, so the people at your home will be our owner and our crew.

Why aren't you the cheapest quote I got?

Because the cheapest paint job usually gets done twice. A low quote often means skipped prep, cheaper paint, or a crew that disappears halfway through. Our quotes include proper prep and a quality Level 5 Paint finish, on either the interior or exterior of your house, so you're not repainting in two years.

My parents started Moulaison's Painting in the 1990s with a simple mission: Striving to make each & every home owner 100% happy with all they did for them. They didn't have a big marketing budget or a fleet of trucks. What they had was a reputation built one home at a time, on a handshake and a man's word, then just good ole word of mouth from there.

I grew up watching them live by that. If they told a customer they'd be there Monday morning, they were there Monday morning. If something wasn't right, they came back and fixed it without being asked twice. That's the work ethic they raised me with, and it's the same way I run this business today.

Now I'm the second generation to carry the Moulaison name, and a lot has changed in Southwest Florida over those 28 years. More franchises, more fly-by-night crews after every storm, and more homeowners who've been let down by a contractor who took a deposit and disappeared. I hear those stories all the time, and every one of them bothers me.

That's why we do things DIFFERENTLY. When you call Moulaison's Painting, you get me. I come out to your home for the estimate, I help you pick your colors, and I'm there on the job with my own crew, not a subcontractor you've never met. When the work is done, we walk your home together, and you don't pay the balance until you're happy and the job is complete. It's the way my parents did business, and it's the only way I know how to do it.

Yes. We've been painting homes in Fort Myers since 1998, and we didn't last that long by leaving people waiting. You'll get a confirmed start date, and if anything changes like the weather, we’ll call you. You won't be chasing us.

Why is your quote higher than someone else's?

Paint quotes vary because prep varies. A cheaper quote often skips pressure washing, crack repair, primer, or a second coat, and in Florida's sun and humidity that shows up fast. Our written quote lists exactly what we'll do, so you can compare apples to apples.

Do you paint rental properties?

Yes. We'll get your rental painted quickly between tenants, with durable paint that holds up to everyday wear, and you don't need to be there. We'll keep you updated and walk it with you when it's done.

Will there be surprise charges?

No. Your written quote covers the full scope. If we find something unexpected, like rotted wood or damaged stucco, we show you and get your okay before doing any extra work.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. Every job comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty. If anything isn't right with our work, just give me a call and I'll come back and take care of it.

Will you make a mess of my house?

We treat your home like our own. Floors, furniture, and fixtures get covered and protected, and we clean up at the end of every workday, not just the last one.

Do I need to move my furniture?

No. We'll move and cover furniture as needed and put everything back where it was.

Can you help me choose colors?

Yes. I'll bring paint chips to your home and show you a preview of how your colors will look before we paint. I'll also make sure they fit your HOA's guidelines.

Do I need to be home while you work?

Not necessarily. Many of our clients go about their day, and some are away for part of the season. We'll agree on access and keep you updated with photos.
